Season Points
Points to Start the Season -
1. Fixtures for games are available via PlayHQ. Your team manager will assist you in finding this information.
2. Timetable fixtures/game times are the responsibility of each parent/family to look up each week and attend on time.
3. Players are required to arrive 10 minutes PRIOR TO THE START of each game. This is so kids have time to warm up and coaches have time to chat to and organise kids.
4. Please ensure players arrive in the correct uniform for all games.
5. Leave room for coach and players to sit together on the bench – NO SPECTATORS ARE TO SIT ON THE BENCH NEAREST THE SCORING BENCH. This space is for coach, players and team manager only.
6. All players are to bring a drink bottle to games – which are to be left on the player’s bench for easy access during time outs.
7. Players subbed off are to sit next to coach, not with spectators.
8. Each team is required to provide a scorer each week – please put your hand up to your team manager or a roster system will be put in place – every family is required to contribute to scoring during the season.
9. If you are scoring you are required to be at the game 10 minutes early to tick players playing and make any player changes into the computer, as soon as the previous game has finished. Please see sheet – HOW TO SCORE.
10. Your teams Team Manager is your first point of contact. Please make a point of saving their contact details.
11. If your child cannot play a game, you need to notify your team manager as soon as possible, so replacement players can be organized. We understand there are circumstances beyond everyone’s control, but when possible please notify early.
12. The support of the parents is greatly encouraged and appreciated by all. Spectators need to respect the role of the coach - support and encourage all team members through cheering, as opposed to providing additional coaching.
13. NO SPECTATORS are to be involved in Coach huddles with players – COACHES ARE THE ONLY PEOPLE COACHING.
14. All players, spectators, coaches and team managers must be aware of Basketball Victoria’s Code of Conduct and agree to behave in accordance with this.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!
